La cv Simona è una cultivar coltivata per la produzione di olio, presente in maniera modesta in provincia di Bari e in provincia di Brindisi.

La cultivar Simona ha una modesta importanza colturale e non emergono cenni storici rilevanti.

L’albero: presenta una vigoria elevata, un portamento espanso-assurgente e una densità della chioma media.
L’infiorescenza: presenta una mignola lunga, con un numero alto di fiori per mignola ed una struttura rada.
La foglia: presenta una forma ellittica-lanceolata, una lunghezza e larghezza media; la curvatura longitudinale della lamina è piana e il colore della pagina superiore verde chiaro.
Il frutto: presenta un peso basso, una forma allungata, con una posizione del diametro medio trasversale massimo centrale. L’apice è appuntito e la base arrotondata, le lenticelle abbondanti e piccole. L’umbone è assente.
La ripresa vegetativa e mignolatura è varabile, l’epoca di fioritura è intermedia e corta di durata, 12 gg. L’epoca di invaiatura delle drupe è media-tardiva e scalare.
L’albero è caratterizzato da una vigoria elevata, una fioritura intermedia e cascola estiva ridotta. La precoce entrata in produzione, la buona produttività, l’inoliazione medio precoce rendono la Simona una cultivar interessante. La cultivar è parzialmente autosterile e fiorisce contemporaneamente alle cv: Toscanina e Nociara.
La cultivar presenta una ottima composizione % di acidi grassi, con una elevata percentuale di acido oleico, intorno al 78%, e bassi contenuti di acidi polinsaturi. Buono il contenuto in fenoli totali e alti sono i tempi per l’induzione all’irrancidimento.
La cultivar presenta un fruttato di oliva medio-intenso. Al gusto prevalgono gradevoli sensazioni di erba fresca e pomodoro. Piccante piacevolmente presente e di media intensità, come del resto di media intensità è l’amaro.
Cultivar presente in maniera sporadica in provincia di Bari e nel brindisino.

Our website implements the ARIA attributes (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) technique, alongside various different behavioral changes, to ensure blind users visiting with screen-readers are able to read, comprehend, and enjoy the website’s functions. As soon as a user with a screen-reader enters your site, they immediately receive a prompt to enter the Screen-Reader Profile so they can browse and operate your site effectively. Here’s how our website covers some of the most important screen-reader requirements, alongside console screenshots of code examples:
Screen-reader optimization: we run a background process that learns the website’s components from top to bottom, to ensure ongoing compliance even when updating the website. In this process, we provide screen-readers with meaningful data using the ARIA set of attributes. For example, we provide accurate form labels; descriptions for actionable icons (social media icons, search icons, cart icons, etc.); validation guidance for form inputs; element roles such as buttons, menus, modal dialogues (popups), and others. Additionally, the background process scans all the website’s images and provides an accurate and meaningful image-object-recognition-based description as an ALT (alternate text) tag for images that are not described.
